Fred Reagan is a strong supporter of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's mission to conquer cancer. He is a dedicated walker in the Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, and a volunteer for the Pan-Mass Challenge bike-a-thon. And, with a gift to Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund in his will, Fred's legacy will continue his support of the fight against cancer.

"I feel very good that I am able to make this gift through my will," Fred says. "I enjoy helping Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund, and contributing in every way I can."

Fred first became involved with Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund when a close family friend died of lung cancer 8 months after having a baby. Fred joined with friends and registered for the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Since 2010, he's enjoyed walking and fundraising with his Walk team in this annual event.

He decided to include Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund in his estate plans because it was simple, flexible, and would fuel Dana-Farber's future needs. Fred's generous bequest will support both compassionate patient care for children and adults, and cutting-edge research.

"Dana-Farber will use this gift the best way they see fit, and I know the funds will help cancer patients in whatever capacity they are utilized," he adds.

Fred will take care of his family and also give to Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund in his estate plan. He is proud to be involved and happy to help, having lost both his parents and other relatives to cancer.

"Cancer has no boundaries," Fred says. "I truly believe that we are going to find a cure one day and we are headed in that direction now."
